Gift Card Holder, by Melissa Banbury

Welcome to week #9 of the Christmas/Holiday newsletter!  Over the next 12 weeks I'll help you prepare for the upcoming holidays with Christmas cards, gifts, tags, and wrapping ideas!  Only my mailing list subscribers will receive these special project ideas.  Look in your inbox each Friday until Christmas for your exclusive email!
Gift Cards have become a popular gift giving item.  Today learn how to create this pop up gift card holder; its the same size as a card which makes it so much more fun to decorate!

Directions:
  1. Cut a piece of card stock measuring 4-1/4" x 11".
  2. Score the 11" side at 4-1/2", 5-1/2", and 6-1/2".
  3. Fold so the center score line creates a mountain fold in the inside of the card.  Add a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to the inside of the fold and secure.
  4. Line up each edge of the fold with the edge of the Word Window punch and punch.  You will have a small bit not punched in the center, simply snip off the excess with scissors.
  5. Decorate the front and inside of the pop up card as you wish!
    1. In the case of this card I kept it fairly simple by cutting the houses from the Sleigh Ride Edgelits from Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper and adding a few snowflakes to the sky. Simple, classic, and perfect for feminine or masculine gift giving!
