The Marvelous Magical Marquee Card Video Tutorial!
My first video!
The first thing you need to know is that it is far from perfect. And it's like the fourth or fifth whack at it I took. I kept screwing up, then when I finally had something I thought was worthy, it ended up being 18 minutes long! Too long for YouTube, apparently. So I had to pull the plug on that one, then start all over again.
I figured out the software that came with my camera, ArcSoft TotalMediaExtreme can do almost everything that Windows Movie Maker can, but one thing it doesn't do well is text. I set up text, saved my project and when I pulled it up again, the text had mysteriously traveled over to the right. And you couldn't drag it back! And there was no way to copy it and paste it. Phooey. And Windows MovieMaker does not like the format of the video that my camera takes, so I am forced to use the ArcSoft software.
So once I figured out that I would have to do text in Photoshop and put it in as a photo rather than using the text editor, everything went along swimmingly. And actually, it looks much better and I could put photos with the text in my screen, which I can't do with this ArcSoft software. But by the time I finally got done filming yet AGAIN, I decided that a few mistakes on my part would just add to the charm of the whole thing and forebore to start over once again. Then it was on to figuring out that the format I saved it in was ALL WRONG, so I had to reprocess the thing, reupload it, and let YouTube start processing it.
So it is what it is and I hope you like it. I'm sure as I go along, they will get more professional. Though one thing will never change and that is my voice, which I have always hated. I sound so stinkin' DOOFY! Oh well.

1 - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock for the base.
score at 2 1/8" from each short side.
1 - 3" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock for the "proscenium."
2 - 2" x 3 1/4" pieces of cardstock for the "marquee" or curtains
score 1/2" from one short side
Ingredients: Stamps - Season of Simple Grace, Itty Bitty Backgrounds; Paper - Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Ballet Blue, Whisper White; Ink - Night of Navy Craft ink, Versamark, Night of Navy Classic, Old Olive Classic, Summer Sun Classic, More Mustard Classic; Other - 1/4" white grosgrain, Wide Oval Punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, CircleScissors Plus, Clear EP, White EP, Silver brads, dimensionals.

Dimensions for the basic card:
1 - 5" x 10" piece of cardstock for the base.
score at 2 1/2" from each short side
1 - 3 1/2" x 5" piece of cardstock for the proscenium.
2 - 3" x 3 3/4" pieces of cardstock for the marquee.
score at 1/2" from one short side.
And the amazing thing? You want to know what the amazing thing is?!?!? I sat on these projects for MONTHS! I made them at the end of June and I was able to not show them to you for almost two months! Smiley from millan.net
I don't know how I managed it, especially considering these are SUCH cool cards, but I knew that a standard photo tutorial would just not show the complete and absolute amazing quality of these cards, so I held out for video. And I also knew that if I showed them to you WITHOUT having a video ready, that you would all be after me all the time to post a tutorial, so I held myself back. And it nearly KILLED ME.
