Wonderland Winter Snow Scene Cards

Do you love Vellum?  Have you tried out the new Winter Wonderland 6x6 vellum stack from the Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday Catalog?  You get 36 sheets in the 6x6 stack.. wowza!
I selected 2 of the prints from that stack and used them for my winter scene cards stamped with the trees from the Wonderland set.  The vellum and stamp set are both on pg 23, or are available in my online store by clicking on any of the product photos at the bottom of this post.

I love the gold print on the vellum... such pretty patterns!!  You'll find the vellum stack on pg 23 in the Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday catalog, or here online.


I wanted some extra Gold Bling so I punched out some gold stars with the "Medium Star" punch and the beautiful Gold Foil Paper.  Stampin' Dimensionals are the perfect touch to pop the star off the card!
 These cards are pretty monochromatic in Island Indigo, but I love the touch of Gold!

TIP: I used Fast Fuse to adhere the vellum... I found that it did not show when I put the Fast Fuse on the White part of the card, and then I added some under the star.  It turned out perfect!  Watch my FAST FUSE TIPS VIDEO here.
You may have seen this photo below on Facebook.. I had to make 87 thank you cards to send to my dear, faithful customers after my million dollar milestone week, and I was getting VERY inky.. so I decided that rubber gloves were called for!

MASKING TECHNIQUE: I tore a "mask" using a Post-It note and stamped the trees over that and sponged some ink in the "sky".  When I posted this on facebook several people asked for a video tutorial on this.. would you like me to make one? Leave me a comment if that would be helpful.


You can see below how each one turns out a little bit differently depending on how you tear the post-it note mask.  I used each mask about 3x before it got too inky, then grabbed another one.

The PEACE sentiment is stamped in Island Indigo ink on Whisper White and punched out with the Word Window Punch.
