I just love the Christmas Season and when our 6 year old son insisted
on putting up the Christmas Tree on Halloween, I really didn't have the
desire to say no. I was just as excited as him. Making Christmas Cards
is another favorite holiday time activity. My favorite holiday colors
are a combination of any Blue and Silver. Today's card, I opted to use
Night of Navy with Silver and Whisper White.
The card base is Whisper White Thick Cardstock layered with Night of
Navy then another layer of Whisper White with a hole cut out using the
Circle Collections Framelits then embossed with teh Softly Falling
Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Softly Falling embossing
folder is a great way to add texture and I love how it feels like there
is snow falling.
I created the focal scene using the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies. I cut
the houses from Night of Navy. The Sleigh Ride is cut using the Silver
Foil Sheets. They were then layered together and placed behind the
circle to create the focal point for a winter scene.
Another favorite product of mine is the Christmas Greetings Thinlits
Dies along with the Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set. The banner below
the winter scene features these two items together. I've used Night of
Navy Classic ink for the stamped sentiment then added the Night of Navy
Peace to the banner. I also added a Night of Navy banner behind the
Whisper White along with Silver Metalic Thread for added "POP."
